(Positive Pic Of the Day) PPOD #41: Sunday Stroll along the rapeseed fields

Rapeseed fields can be seen all over our town around this time of the year. Fields both big and small with bright, cheerful, yellow-colored flowers are dispersed throughout the countryside. The color alone makes you happy.

It’s a good break from the fields of brown or green that usually carpet the sides of the roads. The rapeseed fields along with the blooming white flowers of the fruit trees around is a wonderful sight!

Not only are rapeseed beautiful, they are also useful. They are used to make rapeseed oil for cooking. You’re probably more familiar with the term Canola oil.

I love this time of year when the rapeseeds start to grow and take on a stunning yellow color. I can’t wait until they fully mature and blanket the hillsides and roads. A walk along these beautiful bright fields is just what we need to lift our spirits today. Tschüss!
